Syrian state television said government soldiers found chemical agents in rebel tunnels in the Damascus suburb of Jobar on Saturday and some of the troops were suffocating. Egypt's government shortened a widely-imposed evening curfew, signaling that authorities sense turmoil is waning, after unrest following President Mohamed Morsi's removal threatened to destabilize the country. The easing of the curfew was announced a day after calls for protests by Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood largely fizzled out. A United Nations official is pressing Syria to let investigators visit the site of the suspected chemical attack, an attack that Syria blames on rebels. less
