BERLIN - SEPTEMBER 20: Supporters and resident artists of the Tacheles artists' collective prepare to march to protest against the possible closure of Tacheles on September 20, 2010 in Berlin, Germany. Tacheles, which was formed as a squat by artists seeking to save the building from demolition in the 1990s, provides studio and exhibition space for artists while at the same remaining freely open to the public. The unique collective, which is also a major tourist attraction, is threatened by closure because the new owner, HSH Nordbank, wants to evict the artists in order to develop the site. Supporters of Tacheles argue the collective is an internationally-acclaimed symbol of Berlin's individual, political and artistic freedom. (Photo by Sean Gallup/Getty Images) less
