The fracking controversy
Hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking, is used to extract oil from deep within the earth. However, there are concerns fracking may contaminate groundwater. Three unusual earthquakes that shook a suburb west of Dallas also appear to be connected to the past disposal of wastewater from local hydraulic fracturing operations, a report claims.
