NEW YORK, NY - MAY 31: A car sits in front of the Pierre Hotel on May 31, 2011 in New York City. Mahmoud Abdel-Salam Omar, a 74 year-old former head of the Bank of Alexandria and now chairman of a leading Middle Eastern salt company, is accused of locking a maid inside his $900-a-night hotel room at The Pierre last Sunday. The incident comes after the former I.M.F. head Dominique Strauss-Khan was arrested on May 20 in New York on charges of sexual assault stemming for an incident with a maid at another exclusive Manhattan hotel.
