Bogaerts is the fifth Aruban to make it to the majors and the first to play in and win the Series. On behalf of Aruba, Minister of Tourism Otmar Oduber flew to Boston last week to personally congratulate the baseball star. While Xander proved to be a sunny lucky charm for Boston, he is also Aruba’s hometown hero. Aruba Tourism Authority looks forward to celebrating with him upon his much-anticipated return to the One happy island. "Xander, you've been called the phenom, the X-factor, Boston's best prospect and now you are part of a team who won the World Series.
