In this Jan. 22, 2014 photo, a mannequin used to promote a mannequin factory is secured to a street pole in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Argentines have suffered through a tough summer, with tropical rain that provided no relief from the heat and humidity, people having to throw out rotten food because of rolling power blackouts and soaring oil and gas prices, all amid rising inflation that is making it ever harder to reach the end of the month. The strain is evident on the faces of subway riders and others making their way home in Buenos Aires, where signs of poverty and decay are ubiquitous just beyond the glamorous streets where tourists go.
