The freshman knows winning a second term in Washington won't be easy and the reasons are as simple as 1-2-3. First, history shows freshmen congressmen are picked off more easily than veterans. Second, Times are tough in Michigan's 9th Congressional District; he's the only Democrat to hold the Michigan's 9th District seat since redistricting two decades ago; and Third, voters aren't all that enamored with officeholders these days. less
