This NOAA satellite image taken Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 1:45 a.m. EDT shows clouds diminish over the Eastern US as a low pressure system and associated cold front move offshore and into the Atlantic Ocean. However, another trough of low pressure moves over the Great Lakes and into the Northeast, bringing scattered showers with it. In the Plains, high pressure remains the dominant weather feature with warm and dry conditions. (AP PHOTO/WEATHER UNDERGROUND)
