In this undated photo released by the Oregon State Police is Alfredo De Jesus Ascencio. A Marion County sheriff's deputy was killed in a fatal crash seven years ago, and investigators hope to find the man believed responsible. A grand jury indicted De Jesus Ascencio on charges of criminally negligent homicide after the head-on collision near Gervais, Oregon that killed his 19-year-old passenger and Deputy Kelly Fredinburg. De Jesus Ascencio was critically injured, but out of the hospital by the time he was indicted. Investigators believe he fled to Mexico and remains there. With Monday, June 16, 2014, marking the anniversary of the crash, investigators remind the public that the Oregon Officer Reward Fund and Crime Stoppers are offering $21,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
