A prominent American lawyer and lobbyist is at the center of the criminal case alleging ex-Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf played a role in the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto The Obama administration moved closer to a decision on continuing or curtailing $1.5 billion in annual U.S. aid to Egypt amid the crackdown by military authorities there on supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi. Israeli soldiers killed a young Palestinian man at a refugee camp as troops arrived to arrest an Islamic Jihad member suspected of planning terrorist attacks.
