This video image released by NATO Friday April 8, 2011 and taken from a British Royal Air Force Tornado GR4 Thursday April 7, 2011 shows a pro-Gadhafi forces tank spearheading an attack near Misrata, Libya burning after it was hit by a Brimstone missile. NATO claims the sequence shows the care with which the area is surveyed before the strike, the minimal collateral damage cause by the Brimstone missile and the effect on the supporting forces. The aerial footage was released on the same day that NATO refused to apologize for its airstrikes hitting rebels using tanks in their fight with the government forces in eastern Libya. A deputy commander of the NATO operation said the military alliance had no previous information the rebels were operating tanks. less
