In this Wednesday Sept. 21, 2011, photo, two farmers look at their houses and fishing ponds flooded by diverted floodwaters at Dujiatai flood diversion area in Xiantao city, in central China's Hubei province. Local authority diverted flood from the Han River, a major tributary of the Yangtze River, into the diversion area on Wednesday. The floods have swelled rivers in nine provinces, including Henan, Shaanxi and Sichuan, forcing nearly 1 million people to flee their homes and causing more than $4 billion in damages, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said on its website late Wednesday.
