By K. Kelly, Seattle If you don't see the American worker in this picture, you are not alone. Many businesses in America have lost sight of the people who live, drive, and support them. While seemingly cost-effective to outsource work, in the long run, it is costing the American people dearly. Politicians need to talk about the worrisome issue of outsourcing American jobs. The continued outsourcing of high-tech jobs is destroying the specialized aspect of the careers. A global cost difference in pay is pushing down wages to a new median wage -- rather than a higher, exceptional wage that pays for the education needed to obtain skills. While Americans tumble farther toward indentured servitude, the people who land outsourced jobs reap the profit in their countries. Welcome to the new American Dream, where only rich investors accomplish any wealth. less
