Stock markets in Europe were trading lower despite a positive session in Asia, weighed down by uncertainty over the planned phase-out of the Federal Reserve's bond-buying program. Responding to a $40 million lawsuit that state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman (SHNEYE'-dur-muhn) filed over the weekend, Donald Trump blasted New York's attorney general as a "political hack." Trump says he personally reviewed instructor applications for his "Trump University." The lawsuit claims Trump University promised to make students rich but instead steered them into expensive and mostly useless seminars. U.S. stock futures were mixed on data showing that businesses cut back sharply on big-ticket purchases last month. less
