    New Picture Book Features Adorable Yellow Dogs

    Author Sandi Hoffman creates a simple and heartwarming story for young readers in new book "Kenzie & The Pest"

    Dogs have been part of human families since time immemorial. People and dogs have been living together for so long that these two species can generally empathize with the other’s moods and emotions. Author Sandi Hoffman writes about how a couple sensed the loneliness of their furry family member, and decided to add another set of paws to make things merrier.

    Kenzie & The Pest is an illustrated story book that tells the story of Kenzie, a yellow dog who became lonely when his family moved into a new neighborhood. Kenzie stopped playing and ate less, so Dad and Mom decided to do something about it. When a new yellow puppy arrived, hilarity and shenanigans ensued.

    Parents and young children will absolutely adore Kenzie & The Pest. The words are easy to follow, and the illustrations are cute and very expressive, courtesy of artist Heather Stanley. This book is made by pet lovers, for pet lovers.

    This book will be featured at the 2012 Michigan Reading Association Book Exhibit in Grand Rapids, MI, on March 9-11, 2012.

    About the Author and Illustrator


    A lifetime New England resident, Sandi Hoffman has been writing for technology corporations since 1987. Since her retirement from corporate America, she has been working on her first children’s book. Sandi’s passion for animals inspires her work. She resides in Londonderry, New Hampshire with her husband, three golden retrievers and four cats.

    Since an early age, Heather Stanley has always had a love of both art and animals. She started drawing at an early age, and in May of 2011, she received her BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. Animals have always been an important part of her life. Her pets have included everything from parakeets to hedgehogs and mice. Currently, she lives in her hometown of Amesbury, Massachusetts with her mother, two dogs, and two cats.
