Pip review

Pip streamlines the messaging process, so that you can communicate with your friends with just a few gestures.

Pros

Good selection of Pips: The "Pips" are the basic questions or requests that you can shoot to your friends with a single tap. The pips that you can select from include very useful messages, such as "What's your ETA" or "On my Way." The selection hits upon the most common things you might want to send to someone in a hurry, and is actually quite useful.

Clean design: Pip is a very modern-looking app, with the clean design and color scheme that you would expect today. The design gets out of the way to allow you to concentrate on the functionality, rather than cluttering up your screen with overly developed design elements.

Sending locations: This is a very clever feature that allows you to shoot your location to a friend. When trying to organize a get-together on the fly, this is a quick and easy way to let your friends know where they can catch up with you.

Cons

Limited to American carriers: The Internet has allowed us to shrink the world at every opportunity. Communicating globally has never been easier or faster. With literally dozens of communication solutions that work around the world, having one that is limited to a single country seems like outdated technology at this point.

Bottom Line

Pip is a well-executed, minimalist messaging app. It includes certain features, like sending your location, that actually make it more versatile than you might expect. Overall, it's a great way to conduct short, practical conversations.
