    Plastic Surgeon Explains Rising Demand for Tummy Tucks

    Commenting on recent statistics that show an increased demand for tummy tucks in Great Britain, Austin plastic surgery specialist Dr. Rocco Piazza notes that many of his patients in the United States choose to customize this popular procedure.

    A report from The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) reveals a 15% increase in demand for tummy tuck procedures among men in 2011 and a 7% increase in demand among women.

    "More people are taking advantage of advancements in surgical procedures, both in the United States and in Europe," Dr. Piazza says. "As technology improves, we’re seeing shorter recovery times and longer-lasting results” for procedures such as abdominoplasty and breast augmentation in Austin, TX.

    Dr. Piazza says more of his patients are asking for procedures that are customized to their specific needs. A number of surgical and non-surgical options are available to complement tummy tucks and help achieve more comprehensive, natural-looking results.

    "There are countless ways to personalize the procedure to match a person's exact body type," Dr. Piazza says.
