Police: Body of Princeton student found in wooded area in Springdale

A body of a man was found in a wooded area between Princeton Park and the eastbound ramp of Interstate-275, Springdale police announced Tuesday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the area at 11:43 a.m. after a report of a body was made by a surveyor working in the area, Keenan Riordan with the Springdale Police Department said in a news release.

The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Sebastian Sente Ruiz of Fairfield. Police said there was no obvious sign of traumatic injury but the Hamilton County Coroner's Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

"We do not believe there is a danger to the community at this time," Riordan said in the release.

Princeton City Schools Superintendent Tom Burton released a statement announcing Ruiz was a senior at Princeton High School:

"It is with deep regret that I inform you of a recent loss to our school community. Earlier today, local police informed the District that Princeton High School Senior, Sebastian Sente Ruiz, has passed away.

The police investigation is ongoing, and we are fully cooperating and working closely with law enforcement. If anyone has information to share, please contact 513-352-3040.

Our hearts are with Sebastian's family and loved ones as they process this tragic loss. We have a deep concern for the safety and well-being of our students, families, and educational community.
