Police examine suspicious vehicle near UK parliament; 'looks like false alarm'

LONDON (Reuters) - Police cordoned off roads around the Houses of Parliament in the heart of London on Tuesday in a security alert caused by an abandoned vehicle, Sky News television reported. A spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police said officers were examining a suspicious vehicle. "It looks like a false alarm, but we're still assessing it at the moment," he said.
