Police: VB woman reported missing, found dead in the ocean

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A woman who was reported missing on Valentine’s Day was found dead on March 13 in Virginia Beach.

52-year-old Carina Leach was reported missing on Feb. 14 when she didn’t show up for work. Her body was found a month later — in the ocean.

The call came in around 11:10 a.m. on March 13, and police recovered the body just before 12 p.m. Her body was recovered about 3 miles off the shore south of Rudee Inlet.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.
