Pope Francis leaves Central African Republic, ending Africa tour

BANGUI (Reuters) - Pope Francis left Central African Republic on Monday, bringing to an end his first trip to Africa. The pope's Alitalia plane took off from the capital, Bangui, at 12.30 p.m. (0630 ET) after he visited a Muslim enclave at the center of inter-religious violence and celebrated a Mass before tens of thousands of believers at the national stadium.
