Possible skull parts, teeth found at Fla. airport

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Pieces of what appeared to be human skull and teeth have been discovered at a South Florida airport inside a passenger's carry-on bag.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said the items were found Wednesday afternoon at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport when a piece of sealed pottery broke open. The pottery also contained rocks and dirt. A second sealed pot remained intact.

The pots were being carried by two women who were planning to fly to Baltimore. Deputies say the women told them they had visited Cuba earlier in the week and had bought the pots at a store selling religious items.

The two women remained in Florida voluntarily to talk with homicide and crime scene investigators. They weren't identified and no charges have been filed.
