It's HAARP....oh wait, it originated over the ocean. They can't shoot lasers 2000 miles from land. The conspiracy has been solved. A copy of Fiesta and a box of tissues, Watson, we have solved the dilemma of weather control.

Seriously, this looks like it will hit NYC. And I can tell you that I'm glad that the catastrophe September 11th at least produced evacuation plans for the city, because yes, they will likely need to put them in place from this meteorologist's point of view. As for conspiracies, global warming has nothing to do about this....and neither does Obama or Al Gore.

It's a hurricane that many of us have feared....I can tell you that as early as 1991, we knew New Orleans would get hit by a Katrina-like storm - no one paid attention until the levees broke. We all knew New York was going to get hit soon, but no one paid attention because "it inconvenienced our society and free capitalism". I'd say if you are anywhere from Wilmington to Nova Scotia, to get your evacuation plans ready and disaster kits prepared NOW - don't wait for the storm to close in.

Well blow me down. Arggghh!

i was there in a thunderstorm and the roads all flooded under 2 feet of water. that is exept for the tourist areas owned by investors.

Better than the mess Hurricane Obama is leaving all over the country and world.

The End of America unless WE change. Now more than ever the oligarchy is pressing its control over us like never before. Lets take off the blinders for a moment and set aside being Republicans or Democrats for a moment and reflect on what is happening.

More and more people like many of you here are waking up or have been awake that the media is owned by the oligarchy. We realize the fact that the news is nothing more than a propaganda machine whose sole purpose is to maintain the status quo. The media is owned and operated by the super rich and elite--from both sides of the 'House'.

The GREATEST threat to their power and control of wealth in the world IS the Middle Class. They use the old 'Divide and Conquer' motto to attain more power and wealth by using the Middle Class against itself. Below is a small list of HOW they are achieving it.

1) Main Stream Media, used to spread propaganda. Divide us and distract us. While average Joe is concerning himself with American Idol and his wife with the latest celebrity gossip, they pass laws in the middle of the night to increase their wealth and control over the population.

2) War. Terrorist are everywhere they tell you. Be afraid. Live in fear. That's what they want you to feel--fear. They NEED us to be afraid. A fearful person will do whatever it takes to live in a protected society. A fearful person has no problem being sexually violated by people at airports who couldn't get a job at Wendy's if not for Big Brother.
War is not about bringing Democracy to people in those countries. It's about securing contracts for private corporations that contribute massive amount to campaign funds and under the table kick backs. WE all know this but turn a blind eye because 'that's the way it has always been'.

3) Environmentalism. Everyone wants to drink clean water although we bathe and drink untold amounts of fluoride, eat healthy food that is sprayed with petroleum based chemicals , breathe clean air yet burn clean coal. However they use it as a tool to undermine our sovereignty and national wealth. By creating even MORE taxes on the Middle American. Creating red tape and untold amounts of permits to own or start a business. All under the guise of the EPA. So more of our nations wealth leaves our shores for things we have right here at home.

4) Education. They tell us that no child will be left behind but that's exactly what is happening. We all know it. Every time some idiot has a 'bright idea' the first thing people think is public education. Art and literature are the first thing to go in our society during a budget cut. Art and literature are the MAIN things that we as a people do to express ourselves and communicate ideas with one another. Art is a peaceful thing. No military industrial complex could ever make billions off a peaceful nation. No my friends, they want us distracted with the useless things in life. Sports. Sports is good for building competitive kids. However everyone gets a trophy now and competition is gone. Thru competition we grow stronger. Not good for the oligarchy.

5) Politics. Americas new religion. And when religion ruled they called it the Dark Ages.
Again with 'Divide and Conqueror' by using every media available they pound away at us. Making believe it's someone else's fault. They draw lines in the sand and have American create enemies amongst ourselves. All the while they make deals behind closed doors and continue the revolving doors with their Corporate Fathers.

OOhh Irene!!!! passed by Puerto Rico last Monday left more than 24 inches of rain, most of the island without power and water for three days and it was only a hurricane category 1. I can't imagine a category 4!!!! My prayers for them people!!!
