Those who have participated in karaoke contests in the past are in for a real treat and great time. In this contest, contestants will not have to worry about unprofessional, unobjective and biased judging.
Fountain Productions is bound and determined to select the very best, most qualified, most professional judges to evaluate the singing of contestants. For example, Dr. Wendell V. Fountain has been involved in music and entertainment as a talent scout, manager and promoter of musicians and singers since the early 1970s. Fountain produced an album in 1989 by James Edward Holmes, whom he promoted in the U.S., abroad and the Far-East. Today, James owns Rooster Recording Studio http://www.roosterrecordingstudio.com in Jacksonville, Florida. Fountain also produced, directed, starred in, and co-wrote the screenplay for Grazia (The Movie) http://www.graziathemovie.com, which premiered at Epic Theatres of St. Augustine, Florida in January of 2010. The film was adapted from one of his novels titled "Grace." He selected all of the original music for the production. He is an author of many books and will be available for book signings.
Another judge, Vince Lombardi, (not the deceased Packer coach of football fame--of course) has a wealth of knowledge about the entertainment industry and his worked with many singing greats. Yet another judge, Ron Lodge of Kingman, Arizona has a long history in karaoke, going back to the early 1970s in Oregon. Ron won a national medal, among others, for Barber Shop Harmony Society singing at the early age of 16--a very impressive win. He has been a professional judge in the past. Then another judge, Jack Greenback, who has been a major player in Karaoke Las Vegas for over 30 years, has won numerous prestigious awards such as Karaoke Star Magazine's Music Awards for "Best Hosts" and "Best Karaoke Service Company." Jack is a superb singer in his own right and continues to operate karaoke venues in Las Vegas and at club Roadhouse 95 in Fort Mohave, Arizona. His sound systems are second to none. Then, there is Larry Taylor who was a staple in the entertainment industry in Las Vegas for more than four decades. He opened his first successful club in Las Vegas in 1969, and Shawn Bristle, Dean of the Bullhead City Campus of Mohave Community College, received a master of music degree from Northern Arizona University. As Founding Director of the "Voices of the River Choir," Shawn deeply believes in the power of ensemble musical activity to add meaning to people's lives. Another very experienced judge is Janet Young who, for the past five years, has been an independent judge and worked with National Talent Quest in coaching contestants. She has been formally trained in the arts as a classical cellist. She also performed as a lounge vocalist for Sheraton Hotels for many years. These highly qualified judges have an ear for professionally evaluating singing. Others will be added as necessary.
The Master of Ceremonies (MC), Weston, from Chicago is a terrific singer and entertainer who plays a pivotal role in the Contest and the Show of Appreciation. This variety show will showcase musicians, dancers, comedians, and singers of duets, gospel, and opera. They will honor all those whom have brought us so much beautiful music over time, as well as U.S. Veterans who are responsible for our liberty and freedom.
