Preds' Stalberg to miss 3-4 weeks with injury

Nashville Predators forward Viktor Stalberg suffered a shoulder injury during Tuesday night's exhibition game against Tampa Bay and will be out three to four weeks, the team announced Wednesday.

Stalberg went down in the first period of the game against the Lightning and didn't return to the ice.

The Swede is starting his first season with the Predators after signing a four-year, $12 million contract during the summer.

The 27-year-old played for the Stanley Cup-champion Chicago Blackhawks last season. He produced nine goals and 14 assists during the regular season but had no goals and three assists in 19 playoff games.

The Predators are hoping that Stalberg can generate some offense for a team that had trouble scoring last season.
