Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Trailer: Jane Austen Novel Gets Gory Makeover
Anyone who’s read Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ has undoubtedly had the same thought: “It’s a good book, but it could do with a few more zombies.”
Lucky for us then that someone’s gone and made ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’, a literary mash up that has to be seen to be believed, featuring some of the hottest acting talent Britain has to offer.

Based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s hugely popular 2009 parody, ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ is a surprisingly faithful adaptation of Austen’s 1813 novel of manners, but the setting has been updated to include a zombie outbreak in the early 19th century.

‘Cinderella’s Lily James is a sword-wielding Elizabeth Bennet, and Sam Riley is her Mr Darcy. Rounding out the cast is Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Suki Waterhouse, Jack Huston, Matt Smith, ‘Game of Thrones’ alumni Charles Dance and Len Headey.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES is a fresh twist on Jane Austen’s widely celebrated novel. A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Casting aside personal and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy must unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another.
‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ is coming to UK cinemas on 11 February, 2016.
