Prince 911 call transcript released: ‘Yes, it's Prince’

Entertainment icon Prince died Thursday at the age of 57 after being found unresponsive in an elevator at his Paisley Park Studios complex in suburban Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Thursday night, the Carver County Sheriff's Office released the full transcript of the emergency call an unidentified person made to 911 at 9:43 a.m. ET. Prince was declared dead at 10:07 a.m.

The male caller struggled to give the dispatcher an address at first, saying simply "we're at Prince's house" when asked to give a specific location.

As the CCSP dispatcher tried to extract better address information, the caller described the person he was with as "dead" and mentioned a frantic scene in which people were "distraught."

A cause of death hasn't been announced. An autopsy is expected Friday.
