The hard-working pair, who have been married for nearly three years, were “ships in the night” for the first month of the year, until they flew out for a weekend mini-break on 30 January.

The rapper told The Sun that, their marriage had suffered as a result of all their time apart, but they had vowed to make more time for each other.

The Read All About It star shared a picture on Instagram of Millie on the first night of their trip, captioning it: “Why are you taking a picture when you could be eating pasta? First day spent together all year”.

He explained to the Sun journalist: “It was the first time I had seen her properly in 30 days. We had seen each other like ships in the night, but we weren’t getting any quality time together. It is good sometimes to have space, but it is also difficult when you miss someone for that long.

“It used to happen when I was touring. You would have a day off and try and have the best day of your life. But then you’d just start arguing. That is a relationship.

“The best way is a balance and being really clever with the time you do have together and making the most of that.”

The pasta snap was followed up with a picture of Millie in bed the next day, which Prof Green cheekily captioned: “This one’s feeling oh so clever this morning”.

Obviously, their first night of the year together was a good one.
