Public Theater in NYC reveals its 2012-13 season

NEW YORK (AP) — The Public Theater will offer six plays making their world premiere and two new musicals during its 2012-2013 season, including a show with songs by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim.

The Public said Monday that the former Talking Heads frontman and the British DJ will team up next April for "Here Lies Love," a musical about former Filipina first lady Imelda Marcos.

The theater company will also offer plays by Colman Domingo, Nathan Englander, Guillermo Calderon, Richard Foreman and Dominique Morisseau. Richard Nelson returns in the fall for "Sorry," the third in his series about the Apple family.

In October, the Public will offer "Giant," a musical love story with a book by Sybille Pearson, music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa and directed by Michael Greif.
