Ratings: ‘How to Get Away With Murder’ 2-Hour Finale Locks Up ABC Demo Win
“How to Get Away With Murder” just let ABC walk away with its fifth straight Thursday primetime demo win. However, the two-hour season finale could not boost the network over CBS for a total viewers victory.
On the bad news side, NBC’s “The Slap” and “Allegiance” shriveled, some low numbers in the key demo. “The Blacklist” managed to tick up a touch in between the two shows.
ABC was first in ratings with a 2.6 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 8.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Grey’s Anatomy” at 8 p.m. received a 2.2/7 and 7.5 million viewers. “HTGAWM” at 9 earned a 2.8/9 and nine million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 2.2/7 and first in viewers with 8.7 million. “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 scored night-highs of a 4.5/15 and 16.3 million viewers. “The Odd Couple” at 8:30 posted a 2.8/9 and 11 million viewers. Following a repeat, “Mom” at 9:30 had a 2.1/6 and 8.2 million viewers. The “Victoria’s Secret Swim Special” at 10 got a 1.0/3 and four million viewers.
Fox was third in ratings with a 1.5/5 and in viewers with 6.5 million. “American Idol” at 8 received a 2.1/7 and 9.3 million viewers. “Backstrom” at 9 had a 0.9/3 and 3.8 million viewers.
NBC and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, each with a 1.1. NBC had a 4 share, Univision had a 3. NBC was fourth in viewers with five million, Univision was fifth with 2.8 million.

For NBC, “The Slap” at 8 got a 0.7/2 and 3.6 million viewers. “The Blacklist” at 9 posted a 1.8/6 and 7.9 million viewers. “Allegiance” at 10 had a 0.8/3 and 3.6 million viewers.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 715,000, airing just reruns.
