    ReAgent launches The Chemical Blog

    Leading UK chemical supplier ReAgent has launched a new Blog called The Chemical Blog which went live on 12 January 2012.

    The Chemical Blog publishes information about the chemical industry including:-

    •     ‘How To’ Guides

    •     Legislation about Hazardous Substances

    •     Chemical Industry News

    •     Developments at ReAgent

    Information on The Chemical Blog will appeal to industrial and domestic users alike and will allow the Company to provide information about its products, advice about legislation, answers to frequently asked chemical questions and a step-by-step guide to common uses of chemicals for example ‘How To Unblock a Sink’ using Sodium Hydroxide or Sulphuric Acid.

    ReAgent Managing Director Richard Hudson says, “Following the launch of the new ReAgent website last year we decided The Chemical Blog would be the next logical step. We see social media as another way of allowing customers to find out about chemicals and to contact us. ReAgent has a presence on social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and the business social networking site LinkedIn. We see our blog as being an extension of our social presence. It will also serve as an opportunity to put a ‘face’ to our Company and allow customers an insight into what goes on at ReAgent HQ.”

    Steve Williams, IT Manager at ReAgent adds, “Although the chemical industry is quite traditional, we believe it is important to provide ‘digital’ platforms through email and social media sites in addition to our established ‘traditional’ routes of phone, fax and post.”

    ReAgent hopes to facilitate customer dialogue on The Chemical Blog with a ‘Comments’ section on every page. Shortly after the blog was launched ReAgent received its first question about the suitability of using Sulphuric Acid to unblock a sink with plastic pipe work.

    Managing Director Richard Hudson says, “Our Technical Sales Team were able to respond to this question within 8 minutes – let’s hope this speed of response continues! Seriously though, ReAgent prides itself on the level of customer service we offer to all customers, both large and small.
