    RealLinx Wins Best of Show Award at ITEXPO for its Video Conferencing Service for SMB/SMEs

    RealLinx, a national provider of managed broadband, voice and Internet security for the small-medium enterprise market, won Best of Show Best On-Site Product Launch at ITEXPO last week for its VoiceLinx Video Conferencing Service. RealLinx’s VoiceLinx Video Conferencing Service is based on Vidtel’s hosted MeetMe Video Conferencing Service. Vidtel is an innovative cloud-based service provider with an any-to-any video conferencing solution.

    Over 7,000 were in attendance at ITEXPO in Austin last week and the RealLinx-Vidtel win beat out hundreds of other vendors. With the announcement of VoiceLinx Video Conferencing, RealLinx adds video conferencing capabilities to its existing VoiceLinx Hosted PBX service. The RealLinx VoiceLinx Hosted PBX Services are based on the NetSapiens platform. VoiceLinx already includes hunt groups, auto-attendants, acd queuing, voicemail to email, find me follow me, and audio conferencing. Now through a partnership with Vidtel, RealLinx delivers a video conferencing solution that integrates tightly into the VoiceLinx Hosted PBX.

    VoiceLinx Video Conferencing gives SMEs with multiple offices or remote employees the opportunity for face-to-face meetings without travel. The service supports a range of desktop endpoints, including the Polycom VVX 1500, supports PSTN dial in for audio-only participants, and incorporates GoogleTalk and Skype (beta) through the Vidtel network.

    Previously, video conferencing required either the purchase of expensive premised-based video bridging equipment or the use of a managed bridge -- entirely separate from the PBX. Now, endpoints with video capabilities can leverage an always-on video conference bridge that is just another extension on the hosted PBX. For low monthly subscription rates, SMEs can add a video conferencing solution to their VoiceLinx Hosted PBX. Providing feature rich communications in a managed service model, VoiceLinx continues to replace large capital expenditures with an affordable monthly communications service.
