Recalls this week include deadly baby recliners and overheating fake Christmas trees

More than 150,000 baby recliners connected to the deaths of five infants, and a line of artificial Christmas trees with overheating bases are among this week's recalled consumer products.

BABY RECLINERS
DETAILS: Nap Nanny generations one, two, and the chill model infant recliners made by Baby Matters LLC, which has said it is out of business. They were sold between 2009 and 2012 and retailers involved in the recall include Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, Diapers.com, and Toys R Us/Babies R Us. The first two versions of the foam recliner were initially recalled in July 2010.
WHY: Infants can fall or hang over the side of the Nap Nanny even while the harness is in use.
INCIDENTS: Four deaths linked to the first versions of the recliner and one death linked to the newer model. Since the 2010 recall there are also 70 reports of children nearly falling out of the recliner.
HOW MANY: About 155,000 combined.

ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREES
DETAILS: Artificially lit Christmas trees distributed by GKI Bethlehem Lights and sold by QVC. The recall involves the 6.5-foot and 7.5-foot Ready Shape Scottsdale Tree with Never Fail Lights. Model numbers H191953 and H191954 are located on a label on the tree base and on the QVC box. "Bethlehem Lights" is on the box and the instruction sheets.
WHY: The base can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
INCIDENTS: 30 reports of the tree base overheating, melting, or smoking.

ATV'S
DETAILS: American Honda Motor Co. 2012 FourTrax Rancher ATV TRX420 FA, FE, FM, FPA, FPE, FPM, TE and TM models. Vehicle Identification Numbers involved in the recall can be found at http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml13/13713.html
WHY: A weld on the ATV's front right and left upper suspension arms can separate, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
INCIDENTS: 10 incidents of suspension arm weld failures, including one where a rider suffered a sprained wrist.

JEANS
DETAILS: Falls Creek Kids infant and toddler denim jeans imported by Meijer Distribution Inc. They were sold in sizes 12M-5T and "Falls Creek Kids" is printed on a tag sewn on the inside back of the waistband. The jeans are denim with or without a pink star or heart graphic design stitched on the outside front and back. The jeans also were sold with cargo style pockets. There is label on the inside of the jeans near the front left pocket that includes the date of production: 04/2012 and production location: Zhangjiagang, China. They were sold exclusively at Meijer and HEB stores from June 2012 through November 2012.
WHY: The snap on the front of the infant and toddler denim jeans may come loose and separate from the fabric, posing a choking hazard.
INCIDENTS: None reported.
