4chan and Reddit Are Trying to Send Taylor Swift to Perform at a School for the Deaf

Proving that no online vote is safe, Reddit along with 4chan (and a bevy of Internet trolls) users are derping a contest and have concentrated their efforts into sending country princess Taylor Swift to perform at the Horace Mann School for the Deaf. Trust them, they've done this before.  Swift has partnered up with Papa John's Pizza and Chegg, a textbook rental company, for the "Taylor Swift On Campus" contest which, through the magic of Facebook "likes" and whatnot, gives the school with the most online votes a concert with Swift. And like a mountain lion eyeing a baby deer, Reddit (along with a collective of trolls) has its sights and its sense of humor set on Swift. Apparently the taste of victory when they sent Pitbull to Alaska has worn off. Currently the Horace Mann School for the Deaf--the oldest public day school for the deaf and hard of hearing--has over 17,000 votes and counting. At the time of the initial Reddit Post spotting the 4chan ploy (around 6 hours ago) Horace Mann had 6,252 votes. There is one drawback though. One Redditor pointed out the official rules of the contest have this caveat: "If Music Event details cannot be agreed upon with Taylor Swift and the Grand Prize Winning School, Chegg may award the Music Event to another school (time permitting)." Meaning that Swift isn't locked into the contest. But ... canceling on a school for deaf children would be a jerky contrast to the saccharine sweetheart image Taylor Swift is going for. Sending Swift to play in front of a bunch of deaf children, on the other hand, sounds about right for the Reddit.
