The president's a huge fan of the different beers, having called them "suburb" and even taking them on the road during campaign tours. However, the White House has been tight-lipped about their beer recipes -- flying in the face of the open-source homebrew tradition. After an online petition to get the White House to release the recipe failed to gain traction, a Reddit user decided to take matters into his own hands by submitting a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the recipe. He's claiming that access to the information is "in the public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations or activities of the government."
