Report: Penn State Preparing to Oust Joe Paterno

I find it incredible that the assistant coach who saw it taking place didn't break it up and beat the living crap out of Sandusky...then report it.

If Paterno is dumped by the University, they had better dump those executives who did nothing after Joe reported the problem to them. University staffs always find a scape goat to keep their own jobs. It is the same bureaucratic thinking that perpetuates Washington politicans. Any University, any government entitiy. It is a sad, sad world.

The story told by the mother of "Victim Six" is every bit as haunting, if not more so. After Sandusky gave her son a tour of the Penn State football locker room in 1998, the boy came home and told her, "If you're wondering why my hair is wet, we took a shower together."

He then ran to his room.

The boy later told his mom there was another child in the shower with him and the coach. That boy was 11.

The mother called police. An investigation started. The mother confronted Sandusky in his home, with the police listening in another room.

According to grand jury evidence, Sandusky told the mother of Victim One: "I understand. I was wrong. I wish I could get forgiveness. I know I won’t get it from you. I wish I were dead."

But Sandusky was cleared.
WHO DROPPED THE BALL HERE? IT SURELY LOOKS LIKE THE POLICE AND THE OH SO MORAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry Sandusky should have been fired and banned from campus the first time he was caught naked with a kid in the shower in 1998. There is absolutely no legitimate reason for that to happen. The fact that he was allowed to retire and continue bringing kids to the football facility until 2002, when he got caught again, is despicable.

You call HR when someone tells you a co worker is stealing Post-It Notes. You call the police when a co worker tells you a guy is raping a 10 year old boy at the office.

Sandusky left in 1999 what took so long for this to surface?

McQueary should have kicked Sandusky's A@@ right on the spot. No questions are needed in this situation. He should have stomped on his nutt sack & punched his teeth out! Too late loser McQueary you failed miserably!

And it's not a "sex scandal," Yahoo! It's a rape scandal.

If your kid was one of the 8 getting molested, wouldn't you want anyone with that information to do as much as possible rather than just hope washing their hands of any moral responsibilitiy? I would sure hope so. Maybe the 4th kid was molested when Joe knew, only to have another 4 kids in the meantime get molested because no action was taken. To say "I did my job" is not enough when a crime is happening before your very eyes.

The dude that caught the guy molesting the young child should have stepped in right there and beat the tar snot out of dude or at the very least made is presence known and went and called the cops on the spot. The fact you use the excuse that you were afraid to lose your job is weak. As an adult no matter what your excuses are you had a moral obligation to protect that child since the adult he was with was not and was in fact the one causing him the harm. Every other single person who had an inkling of what was going on and either did nothing or notice what they did do did no good and just left it at that needs to be held accountable for their actions. As for Paterno I would like to mention that Jim Tressel was bum rushed out because he didnt do enough according to some to report student financial missteps and what Paterno did is 200 times worse.

Pedophiles deserve no leniency!

I also believe that the President of the University Mr. Spaniar should be asked to resign as well. He was the Chief operating officer of the University and he failed to act as well. Fire Them All.

Really amzing culpability on the part of Paterno and the school officials. Basically they told Sandusky he can continue to be a pedophile, just not on campus. They view this as "doing their duty" And this McQueary dude caught Sandusky anally raping a little boy and went and called his daddy? He is a former football payer and Sandusky was an old man- he should have went in the shower and beat him to a pulp. Disgusting beyond belief is the best way to describe this entire story. I only hope these kids can recover.

That's the problem with child abuse and domestic violence...."NO ONE WANTS TO GET INVOLVED"...the only people that I feel sympathy for are the little boys (now men) who got raped by that savage beast...they ought to serve his B A _ _S and his D I _ _ to the lions and have him watch while they eat them.

What about the President of the University, the Althletic Director and his whole staff. Sounds like the military. Find the scapegoat and throw them out.

penn state should be losing all football scholarships for a decade. If the NCAA makes a big deal about some kid getting a car from an agent, what about the rape and cover up by a school

The one I don't understand is Mike McQueary. How do you see somebody molesting a child and walk away to tell someone?

Everyone connected who had any knowledge and either did nothing or the bare legal
minimum should be fired. the graduate assistant who witnessed this pig sandusky
and the little boy and did not intervene should face criminal charges.

There are probably a lot of people at Penn State right now wondering if they have "plausible deniability." What did they know, and when did they know it?
