Report: Shooting at Oakland religious school leaves 5 wounded; suspect's location unknown

OAKLAND, Calif. - Police say they're responding to reports of five people hurt in a shooting at a Christian university in east Oakland.

The shooting happened Monday morning at Oikos University.

Television news footage shows wounded people have been brought out of the building, and more gurneys are being brought in. Officers have surrounded the building, and it's unclear if the suspect is still on scene.

Oakland police did not immediately return calls.

According of its website, Oikos University offers studies in theology, music, nursing and Asian medicine.
