Report: Titans to work out Carr

The Tennessee Titans will work out veteran free agent quarterback David Carr on Tuesday, according to Fox Sports.

Starter Jake Locker may be out for up to two months with swelling in his right hip and knee. Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to start in his place but the team needs reinforcement.

The Titans only have two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster and Rusty Smith is on the practice squad.

Carr, a former No. 1 overall draft pick, has played for the Houston Texans (2002-06), Carolina Panthers (2007), New York Giants (2008-09, 2011-12) and San Francisco 49ers (2010).
