As the GOP continues intra-party fighting over several matters, Yahoo asked Republican and conservative voters to write about one issue they'd like their party leaders to come together to address and tackle now. Here's one.
COMMENTARY l With the 2014 midterm elections closing fast, the GOP needs to start addressing a variety of issues. Immigration reform is a notable top contender for me, and as the Republican Party debates it, I'd like it to view illegal immigration for what it is: illegal.
As a conservative voter, I am frustrated with the road immigration reform is taking. The term "illegal immigration" has one key word in it: Illegal. That, by definition, denotes an act that is against the law.
If an illegal immigrant can cross the border, and become an un-American "citizen" overnight, why can't they be deported just as quickly when they're caught?
