    Restaurant.com announces its July edition of “Behind the Menu,” featuring six restaurants with extraordinary outdoor dining

    With the arrival of summer, restaurants everywhere are opening their patio doors for diners seeking fresh air as a side dish. When the weather is nice, enjoying a meal outdoors can feel like a well-deserved vacation.

    “Whether it’s experiencing the excitement of a big city, or enjoying a rural setting, there’s nothing like dining al fresco with friends and family,” says Cary Chessick, Restaurant.com CEO. “We’re excited to feature six of our restaurant partners that offer a wonderful outdoor dining experience.”

    July’s “Behind the Menu” restaurants include:


    •     Pine Island Grill at the Crescent Beach Club, Bayville, N.Y.

    •     Ciao Bella, La Mesa, Calif.

    •     Bandung, Madison, Wis.

    •     Café Med, Chicago, Ill.

    •     Shadowland, Seattle, Wash.

    •     Café Degas, New Orleans, La.

    Pine Island Grill offers a grand beachfront setting, and one of the best spots for enjoying the sunset on Long Island. At Café Med, diners on the outdoor patio soak up Chicago’s urban ambiance. Terrific food and a lively atmosphere add up to a memorable dining experience.

    “We really loved the ambiance and décor of Ciao Bella. We liked the live music! It really turned our evening into an event rather than just a meal,” says Catherine Munson of San Marcos, Calif. “The food was delicious. We were given plenty of time to select our food, enjoy our dinner, then spend time relaxing and talking.”

    Travelers are also taking advantage of the many dining destinations on Restaurant.com. “My family went on vacation to New Orleans. We picked out Café Degas based on their menu and proximity to where we were staying,” says Kevin Walters of Richmond, Va. “We had a great meal and wonderful service!”
