Retail gasoline prices down a penny across Texas
Texas AAA survey finds retail gasoline prices slip a penny this week as summer winds down
HOUSTON (AP) -- Retail gasoline prices across Texas have slipped a penny this week as the summer driving season winds down.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump reached $3.41 per gallon. Drivers nationally are paying an average $3.59 per gallon — up 3 cents in the past week.
The association survey found Amarillo with the most expensive gasoline in Texas at $3.50 per gallon. El Paso had the cheapest gasoline statewide at $3.34 per gallon.
AAA officials say the Labor Day holiday, which was Monday, marked the traditional end of the summer driving period.
