    RFID Journal LIVE! 2012 to Feature Two Co-Located Events

    The tenth annual conference and exhibition will host events for the IEEE Technical Committee on RFID (CRFID) and AIDC 100.

    RFID Journal announced today that it will host two co-located events in conjunction with RFID Journal LIVE! 2012 (http://www.rfidjournalevents.com/live), the world's premier conference and exhibition focused on radio frequency identification (RFID) and its many business applications. This year's LIVE! event will herald the conference's landmark tenth anniversary.

    LIVE! 2012 will be held on Apr. 3-5, at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resort, located in Orlando, Fla. The two co-located events are IEEE RFID 2012 and AIDC 100: RFID and Bar-Code Co-existence—Lessons Learned From AIDC Technology Adoption.

    “We have hosted IEEE and AIDC events in the past, and we feel that co-locating with these events provides additional value to our attendees, as well as the attendees of these conferences,” said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal’s founder and editor. “The education they provide broadens the RFID community’s awareness of research happening around the world, as well as advances in other auto-ID technologies.”

    The 2012 IEEE International Conference on RFID, sponsored by the IEEE Technical Committee on RFID (CRFID), is the leading conference for exchanging all technical RFID-related research. The conference attracts attendees from a mix of practitioners and researchers within industry and academia, from around the world and spanning numerous disciplines.     Radio frequency identification is part of a broader category of technologies that fall under the category of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC). AIDC 100: RFID and Bar-Code Co-existence—Lessons Learned From AIDC Technology Adoption is a uniquely interactive seminar that will augment the other technically focused vertical-market preconference sessions. Attendees will learn how to take a strategic approach to RFID technology adoption and integration with bar codes.
