Ribery: Setback hard to stomach

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has conceded he doesn't know how long his latest injury will keep him on the sidelines. The 31-year-old only played a peripheral role for Bayern last season as they retained the Bundesliga title, with injuries limiting him to 22 appearances in the league. Ribery missed France's World Cup campaign with a back injury, leading him to retire from international football in order to prolong his career with the Bavarian giants. The Frenchman made his first competitive outing of the new campaign for Pep Guardiola's side on Saturday against Stuttgart, coming on as a 68th-minute substitute and going on to net the second goal in a 2-0 win. However, he was forced to sit out the visit of Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday due to a knee problem, and admits the new injury setback is hard to take. "It just makes me sick. I don't know how long I'll be out for," Ribery told kicker, having been ordered to rest up by club doctor Hans-Wilehlm Muller Wohlfahrt until further notice.
