Ricky Gervais Returns as ‘Derek’ in Trailer for Netflix One-Hour Special (Video)

Get ready to go back to Broadhill.

Netflix announced Thursday that they will air the one-hour special for “Derek,” the cult hit British TV series from Ricky Gervais.

In the special, Tom (Brett Goldstein) has a new job, which allows him to spend more time with Hannah. Meanwhile, Derek (Gervais) is upset with Hannah (Kerry Godliman) for upsetting Kevin (David Earl), who goes missing, whilst Vicky (Holli Dempsey) takes on more responsibilities.

Gervais created and stars in the series, which centers around his character and his work at a small care facility for the elderly. Derek is a sweet, naive man who loves discussing animals and reality shows.

The series originally aired on Britain’s Channel 4 and then later on Netflix. It has been nominated for both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe.

“Derek Special” will be available to stream beginning on April 3.
