    RNC Pounces on President's Google+ Exchange with Wife of Unemployed Engineer

    The RNC has been making much hay out of President Obama's Monday exchange on Google+ with Jennifer Weddell, whose engineer husband has been having trouble for years finding a job.

    As ABC News' Mary Bruce wrote at the time ,  the exchange seemed to highlight how the president's "view of the economic recovery collided with the reality of a family's personal struggle."

    Weddell had asked the president why the administration was granting visas for foreign engineers to come to the U.S. to work while her husband, a semiconductor engineer who was laid off three years ago, was still struggling to find a job in his field. President Obama seemed stunned that Weddell's husband was having trouble given evidence of a "huge demand for engineers."

    "We should get his resume and I'll forward it to some of these companies that are telling me they can't find enough engineers in this field," the president said.

    Weddell remained unconvinced of the high demand the president mentioned.

    "I understand that, but… we're not getting that," she said.

    "It is interesting to me … and I meant what I said, if you send me your husband's resume, I'd be interested in finding out exactly what's happening right there, because the word we're getting is that somebody in that kind of high-tech field, that kind of engineer, should be able to find something right away," Obama said.

    Now the RNC is suggesting that folks upload their resumes (and contribute money to the RNC ) at a website titled NotBetterOff.com .

      So the President offers to help a citizen by forwarding a resume to companies that are looking to employ people like her husband. Wow. That's serious. One guy of unknown qualification fails to get work and that apparently disproves a wide set of indicators that show steady growth in hiring, and in particular economic sectors.

      The US shouldn't be granting ANY work visas at all for ANY jobs right now. There are plenty of Americans who can do those jobs. Even when jobs aren't outsourced to foreign workers in other countries, somehow American corporations outsource them to foreign workers in this country! Outrageous.

      It is so obvious that ObaMORON is out of touch with what's really going on. It's much the same when you call a big company - like Wells Fargo- the WORST company EVER created in the history of banking-- and you talk to one rep - who gives you a completely different story than another rep - who lies to you - and transfers you to a thrid rep - who you have to repeat the story to- until finally it's too late- and the screw up escalates to mammoth proportions and you're out of business. THAT'S SCAMerica explained. That's ObaMORON!
