Butler County Coroner identifies man killed in Middletown road rage incident

The man who was fatally shot in a road rage incident in Middletown late Tuesday evening has been identified.

Brandon Gunstanson, 26, of Middletown died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after being shot just before midnight at the intersection of Second Avenue and South Clinton Street, according the Butler County Coroner's Office.

When Middletown police and fire personnel arrived at the scene, they located a vehicle in the 100 block of South Clinton Street up against a pole.

Gunstanson, who was the driver of the vehicle, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck and died at the scene, Middletown city spokesman Clayton Castle told Enquirer media partner Fox19.

As of early Friday afternoon, police have not announced an arrest in connection with Gunstanson’s death.
