Rock band The Killers to perform at Cincy casino

CINCINNATI (AP) — The Grammy-nominated and internationally known rock band The Killers will be the first performers at an outdoor plaza in front of Ohio's newest casino in Cincinnati.

Known for hits like "Mr. Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me," The Killers will fit their May 16 performance at Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati into a world tour that has stops in Mexico, Italy and England.

The casino's management announced the performance Monday and said tickets for the show will go on sale Friday. The cost was not released.

The show will be the first in a series of summer concerts at the 1-acre outdoor plaza in front of the downtown Cincinnati casino. The casino calls the space "The Shoe."

The Killers formed in Las Vegas in 2001 and have been nominated for seven Grammies.
