Rockstar Games has good news and bad news for fans of GTA 5

PC gamers are going to have to wait a few extra weeks for Grand Theft Auto 5. Rockstar Games announced on Tuesday that the PC version of the 2013 bestseller has been delayed once again to April 14th, as “a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible.”

“The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos,” writes Rockstar.

In order to make up for the delay, Rockstar is giving an additional $200,000 in-game cash to anyone who preorders the game on PC. Along with the polish, Rockstar also wants to ensure that the entire online experience is running smoothly, which brings us to the good news: Online Heists are officially launching on Tuesday, March 10th.

GTA 5 players have been waiting more than a year for Rockstar to release this 4-player cooperative mode for GTA Online, and now we’re finally just two weeks away from Heists being a reality. Rockstar plans to unveil more about Heists and the features that will be included in the update in the coming days.

Of course, we’re going to wait until the update actually hits before we start celebrating — we’ve been hurt before.
