Romney Plagued by Google Image Search Results

Rick Santorum isn't the only Republican with a Google problem.

Google image results for the phrase “completely wrong” pulls up photos of Mitt Romney. A spokesman for Google told CNN the gallery was not an effort by the search engine to skew the results, but merely what normal analytics produced.

Analytics measure key words and phrases tied to certain results. In the aftermath of the Republican nominee’s “47 percent” comments, Romney said he was “completely wrong” in his remarks.

Politicians have encountered this before. Before Google changed its analytics, the search result for “miserable failure” used to come up with President Obama and former President George W. Bush during their respective terms in office. Santorum was also the victim of a “Google Bombing” by gay activists, associating his name with vulgar expression.
