    Ron Paul Awash in Active Duty Military Donations

    Ron Paul's campaign has hit a gold mine of support -- active-duty military.

    Paul's 2012 campaign says their team's received more campaign donations from active-duty military than all of the other presidential candidates, including Barack Obama, combined.

    Paul raised $150,000 in the fourth quarter alone from active-duty military.

    "The question ultimately comes down to, 'What do the troops know that the other candidates don't know?' Plain as day, the answer is the men and women in uniform heroically serving our nation seek a shift away from deficit-finaced overseas wars, and from the painful reality of returning home to lingering health issues and unemployment among Peers," says Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

    After conducting an independent analysis of Federal Election Commission data, the Paul campaign reports among GOP candidates, Paul received 87 percent of the active duty military donations given while Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich each received just a fraction, $10,000 each.

    Paul's campaign's worked aggressively to court veterans and active-duty military support, writing an open letter to President Obama, urging him against cutting veteran benefits, forming a coalition of "Veterans for Ron Paul," which has attracted more than 5,000 supporters on Facebook and releasing ads of veterans thanking Paul for working for them.

    "Ron Paul is a veteran's best friend," army reserve veteran Rene Reve's says in the video.

    This is not the first time Paul's campaign's done well among active-duty veterans in fundraising. In both the second and third quarters of 2011, Paul's campaign out raised all of the GOP candidates combined.

      I can tell you what they know. They know the govt is wasting tons of money on these defense contractors making out like bandits. The defense contractors are doing jobs the military used to do but they're getting paid MUCH more to do it.

      It's amazing he does as well in the polls with such little national exposure, if this article was about any of the "electable 3" it would be front page news, instead you have to search for it! Also, he's not able to get as much support at the polls as the internet exposure because many of the Dems that I know would vote him ahead of Obama, CAN'T vote in a primary! SO with that being said, there is support at the polls However when the media & higher powers take over in several ways as they have ie. Ignoring him @ debates, His own party the republican doesn't acknowledge him because when he sees violations of our Constitution he doesnt just go with the flow and play "Politics as Usual" and Cant be bought! But, the worst is the media's Propogandous use of words such as "Unelectable, Dangerous, & Cooky" herds the masses like sheep, because no one wants to vote for what they've been lead to think will be a guaranteed loser! I'm an Independant and he's the only one that I believe & think is any different & will do everything in his power to take America Back, to our Future!

      Wishing for the people to wake up won't make it happen, we must get out a campaign for Ron Paul just like Eddie did, Show courage in the face of hatred and danger. Remember to be a good representative for our good candidate for President Ron Paul. You need to use the people approach and talk to your relatives and friends about this Ron Paul, what he wants and want does and what he means. He a clear and honest candidate to tell about, he rides a bicycle to keep fit when he isn't on the campaign trail.

      A bunch of foolish people sit around and support all of these wars because they are threatened with being un-American if they don't, and they fall for it.... isn't it funny how the people that want the wars to end the most are the ones that actually have to take part in them?

      Would you volunteer to send your son or daughter over there right now to possibly die for..... whatever the political sales pitch is these days? If so, I feel sorry for you.... and your kids.

      I think our citizens do stand with our troops. If you watched the only Nevada county votes declared live and on camera Ron Paul took more votes than all the other candidates combined. Gee folks, do you think this was the only county that overwhelmingly voted Ron Paul? Do you think this is the only state? Come on, we're all being taken for a ride here!

      Paul consistently gets the active military donation. Though there is a difference between military spending and defense spending. Paul wants to cut military spending, close many of the 900+ US bases around the world, stop nation building and policing the world. Bring our men and women home to defend our borders. If someone attacks us, make a declaration of war, have a goal and a time line, agree on a budget and win. Now we're going broke and we are spread too thin, that is our true military weakness. Mean while, back at the ranch, Obomnich is salivating all over Iran...

      If only the american civilians can back the Troops that have served and protected this country to vote for Ron Paul! I think its messed up, that the majority of civilians are not siding with the troops on voting for Ron Paul! I'm thinking, maybe all the troops should get out so there can be a draft for mandatory years to serve, since they are voting for the other candidates instead! We as soldiers know how it is in the war zone! People need to support our troops, which means support Ron Paul 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!
